Our first visit to Letchworth at the Etonbury Middle School, Stotfold Road, Arlesey. Just a stones throw from the A1. Like a great number of
exhibitions this was a school venue, with the exhibition in the main hall, gymnasium and a classroom. An excellent exhibition with a wide
variety of scales and gauges with first class trade stand support. The club second hand stall was fairly extensive and included two layouts.
Look at the second row of photographs for one of them.
Routes demonstrated included Scottish Central, North West England, Thames Mersey, Cannock Chase, Severn Valley Railway, Bala Hub V4, MidEast,
Talyllyn and The Bridge Line. Countless visitors came to the stand to see what Train Simulation was about and a number stated that they had
bought the original and lost interest because there was little British stuff. They went away invigorated as to what is now available and
Cab-It was kept busy giving out leaflets and CD's.
Our location in the main hall was directly in front of the stage but with the display screens on the stage. It worked very well, as the screens
were clear all the way to the entrance and the stand was on ground level as it were. Easy access to all visitors.
Yet another exhibition well worth a visit if you live in the area around Letchworth and want to visit a local exhibition. There was something
for everybody, from Z gauge to G gauge, trade stands (some good bargains to be seen here), demonstrators etc. etc..
Our thanks to the Letchworth MRS for the invitation to attend and the excellent refreshments, to the UKTS people
who either helped us or just came to visit over the weekend and to the visitors who joined us.
Finally a big thank you to the creators of the routes and models who make UKTrainSimLive and the whole
UKTrainSim community what it is today. THANKS.
