Exhibition Report

Letchworth 26th November 2005

Our second visit to the Etonbury Middle School, Stotfold Road, Arlesey at the invitation of the Letchworth MRS. Just a stones throw from the A1 and a mile from Arlesey Station for the rail travellers. Like many exhibitions this was a school venue, with the exhibition in the main hall, gymnasium, 2 classrooms and part of a corridor. An excellent exhibition with a wide variety of scales and gauges with first class trade stand support. The club second hand stall did very well, Cab-It bought Camerons Christmas Present from their stand.

We were joined by Ca55ie (Sam), Doug Kightley and Lad491 (Laurie) for the exhibition. Matt was on business in Australia so was unable to attend. Thanks for coming along to demonstrate and helping unload and load the gear. With Matt away, Dougs laptop was pressed into service, even if Sam did manage to crash it three times. The laptop that is, NOT a train.

Our location in the main hall was directly in front of the stage but with the display screens on the stage. It worked very well, as the screens were clear all the way to the entrance and the stand was on ground level as it were. Easy access to all visitors. On this occasion we met several visitors who had seen us last year and now had a copy of MSTS, so free CD's were the order of the day and much discussion on what's coming next.

Yet another exhibition well worth a visit if you live in the area around Letchworth and want to visit a local exhibition. There was something for everybody, from Z gauge to G gauge, trade stands (some good bargains to be seen here), demonstrators etc. etc..

Our thanks to the Letchworth MRS for the invitation to attend and the excellent refreshments, to the UKTS people who either helped us or just came to visit over the weekend and to the visitors who joined us. Finally a big thank you to the creators of the routes and models who make UKTrainSimLive and the whole UKTrainSim community what it is today. THANKS.
