Exhibition Report
Aldershot
9th/10th October 2004

Our second visit to Aldershot and we were made extremely welcome by the Farnham & District MRC members. The location was the Connaught Leisure Centre and was a good venue both from our point of view and that of the exhibitors and traders. Easy access for all.

asalmon and Leviathan1949. asalmon, Leviathan1949, ccsdc and Aisleighn. coxster and Leviathan1949. LAD491 and asalmon.

We were pleased to welcome asalmon, LAD491, coxster and ccsdc (Thames-Mersey) with his daughter Aisleighn as demonstrators. Matt unfortunately didn't make it having suffered a breakdown on the M25 at Rickmansworth.

ccsdc (Dave) had brought along his laptop to demonstrate Thames Mersey and we took a copy of his Train Simulator folder to see if we could identify any of the problems we were experiencing in our testing of the route.
Note: Since this exhibition we have identified and fixed a number of inconsistencies and the CD should be released soon.

Large O Gauge oval of the Railway Enthusiasts Club. Southern L1 4-4-0 Live Steam for the ride along train. Southern L1 4-4-0 Live Steam for the ride along train. Class 08 for the ride along train.

Routes demonstrated included MidEast, Cannock Chase, Skipton 1920, West Coastway, Thames Mersey, North West England. As always, numerous visitors could not believe that this was the original MSTS and assumed that this must be the latest version MSTS2. count the jaws that hit the floor when you say NO! this IS the original.

Nice scenic modelling with just a touch of railway. Modern Image Diesel yard. MMMMMMMMMM 7mm Great Western. Photojenic Backgrounds tradestand.

Our thanks go to the kind people who come along and help us demonstrate the routes and models and promote UKTrainSim, Alan, Laurie, Coxster, Dave and his daughter Aisleighn and to those who drop in for a chat and a drive.

Thanks also to Paul (Exhibition Manager), the members of the Farnham and District MRC for the invitation and for looking after us so well.

As always, our thanks to the modellers, route builders, activity writers etc who make it all possible.
