As we had stayed in a local hotel on the Friday night, it was a leisurely start to saturday morning when
we arrived at the hall at 08:15. Set up and running soon after 9am as others began to arrive.
As this was a TrainSim Convention it was good to see so many UKTS members during the day, driving and chatting.
Updated and new routes to see and plenty of opportunity to chat all things trainsim and tramsim.
Just 3 layouts to see, all very good, including 1 guy we met up with at Glasgow only the previous week.
We were joined by Doug Kightley, Riche, trains2 (Who with other e-rail members had the stand next to us),
decapod, Tim Court, Brett Schnepf from Microsoft, Michael Hetherington (PI Engineering, TrainMaster & RailDriver),
Dallin Smith (PI Engineering), bluearrow, johny, europeanbahn, easilyconfused and probably more that I forgot.
During the latter part of the morning decapod gave a lecture on 3D Modelling and managed to complete a tank loco
in the allotted 90 minute lecture period.
This was followed by a lecture on Texturing by Tim Court who chose a Class 40 for his example.
Both lectures were well attended.
Our thanks to Jon Potter (Convention Organiser) for the invitation, the refreshments
and making us welcome. Thanks to all the UKTS members who visited to drive and chat and to the numerous
visitors who stopped by to watch and chat.
Unfortunately there are NO pictures as Cab-It was babysitting this weekend and I forgot the camera. Doh!!!!
