Exhibition Report

Bradford
21/22 April 2007

Our fifth invitation to the Bradford MRC exhibition in the Bradford Cathedral College. We had learned in late February of the passing of the club President, Arthur Towers. A man who had a positive passion for model railways in a variety of gauges and scales. His son Chris and grandson Adam are also club members and modellers and will hopefully carry on the family tradition.

We were located on the stage area at the back of the main hall and used the white wall for projection. Cab-It was not with us on this occasion as she was looking after Cameron for the weekend. As a result, I travelled to the college Friday evenng to set up and was met by Doug and Robert, thanks guys. Photographs for this report were also taken by Doug.

It was good to see a number of UKTS members in attendance as demonstrators and those who came along to chat and learn more.
RobertM, dougkightley, terry cunliffe, Bob Pegg (Steyning) to name but a few. We were also joined by two youngsters, Adam from the Bradford MRC and Dominick whose Dad had the Model Depot tradestand.
The DCC Workshop stand also attracted an interested number of visitors discussing and chatting about various aspects of DCC, their needs and requirements etc.

This exhibition has a good selection of layouts in a variety of scales suitably spread across the two halls and a good selection of traders in attendance providing RTR, new and secondhand and spare parts, tools, electrical items, books, magazines, DVD's etc etc.

Our thanks to all the UKTS members who joined us during the exhibition demonstrating and chatting and to the large number of visitors who dropped by for a chat either trainsim or DCC.

We would like to thank the Bradford MRC for the invitation to the exhibition and for the refreshments and the warm welcome we received. We hope to see you all again next year.
Please note that this is the LAST exhibition at this venue. The Bradford Cathedral College is being demolished in August 2007, so the 2008 venue has yet to be organised/arranged.
