Another change of Exhibition Management for this the 33rd Brighton Model World. Cab-It, Matt and I arrived early Thursday afternoon
for setup. Slightly different layout this year with the DCC Workshop adjacent to the Main Stand. It worked very well over the
whole weekend. This is a 3 day exhibition of every aspect of modelling on show.
We were joined over the weekend by Danny3, DDPOTTER, RobertM and numerous other UKTS members who dropped by for a chat.
RailWorks2 and MSTS had a good showing over the whole weekend with Bristol Carmarthern taking the MSTS limelight.
RailSimulator.com were there hawking RailWorks initially at £12.99, £11.99 with one of our cards. That dropped to £5
on the Sunday so a bargain to be had if you wanted one.
The DCC Workshop was adjacent to the main stand at this show with Easilyconfuseds N gauge layout with the the loop of Kato
HO/OO track round the outside. Using the Lenz DCC Controllers plus the occasional use of the Bachmann DC Controller, we kept
the visitors interested in DCC and the need for running in. We tested a few locos for visitors, some were good, one was dead
and a couple of American sound chip locos were so quiet, you would need to be in a quietened room to hear them properly.
There were plenty of deals to be had if you wanted them from various traders selling all aspects of modelling.
Our thanks to Alex Tombling and Chris English and the Brighton Model World Organising Group for the invitation,
the refreshments and the location. Our thanks to all those that gave of their time to help us demonstrating, to those who
dropped by for a chat and to the members of the public who visited the exhibition over the weekend.
Special thanks also to the crew who help break down the stand and help load the car at the end.
Thanks also to Danny3 for providing some of the photographs for this report. If you would like a full size copy of any picure
then please email our support desk support@uktrainsim.com.
