Exhibition Report

Leamington & Warwick
21/22 January 2006

Our first exhibition for 2006 and our second visit to the Leamington & Warwick MRS Exhibition held at Myton School, Myton Road, Warwick. We were located in a classroom adjacent to the Main Entrance with the Railway Correspondence and Travel Society (RCTS) and the TrainCam man with ample space to spread out and provide a few chairs for visitors to sit and watch.

It was great to see so many UKTS members either as demonstrators or simply there to chat and catch up on all things trainsim. Mark Miller, sootyxfd, 250787, dorlan, Terry Cunliffe, Decapod, Saddletank, Doug Kightley, Staxtrax, King125, trainlover123, dinmore, easilyconfused, steamnut44, Glyn Phillips and visitors to the stand who enjoyed chatting about all things TrainSim.

New routes given their first airing were Blackpool Illuminations, The Steyning Line and MidEast 2 Steam Era. All three routes are available for download from the download library.

Our thanks also to Doug who gave several demonstrations on the use of 3D Canvas and to Decapod who took over for an hour and demonstrated the ease with which animals could be created and then a simple 0-8-0 tank loco. Thanks guys, much appreciated.

The exhibition was well balanced with a good selection of layouts in a variety of scales including a Lego trainset. The Thomas layout was in attendance although in a new guise this year.
A good selection of traders were also in attendance providing RTR, new and secondhand and spare parts, tools, electrical items, books, magazines, DVD's etc etc.

Our thanks to all the UKTS members who joined us during the exhibition demonstrating and chatting and to the large number of visitors who dropped by for a chat.

We would like to thank the Leamington & Warwick MRS for the invitation to the exhibition and for the refreshments and the warm welcome we received. We will see you all again next year.
