A change of venue this year for the Leamington & Warwick Model Railway Society Exhibition. Previously the exhibition has been in the
Myton School in Warwick, this year it moved to the Stoneleigh Exhibition and Conference Centre nearer to Coventry. A very pleasant
venue, about 50% more floor space than the school venue and nicely laid out.
The general layout of the venue is a large hall and two side halls that become one by opening the sliding door arrangement.
We were joined by Laurie (LAD491), Terry (king125) and Patty (Princess125), Robert (RobertM), Doug (dkightley), John (easilyconfused) with Bronwyn
and on Saturday Geoff (steamnut44), Clive (staxtrax) with Penny. Thanks for your help as always.
A goodly amount of space for the DCC Workshop gave us the opportunity to have both Johns DCC Layout and the UKTS demo board on display
with a single large oval of 4mm track. As always the DCC Workshop attracted a number of visitors to discuss the benefits and pitfalls of
changing over to DCC or starting out in "DC" or "DCC". Two visitors even brought along locos that they had started to convert and then
ran into problems which were quickly resolved and visitors very happy.
The photographs on this page and the larger ones they link to are much smaller than the full size originals which are 3072 x 2304
and around 1.2Mb each. If you would like a full size copy then please email our support desk support@uktrainsim.com.
Our thanks to Chris Mead and the Leamington & Warwick Model Railway Society for the invitation, the refreshments and the location.
Our thanks to all those that gave of their time to help us demonstrating, to those who dropped by for a chat
and to the members of the public who visited the exhibition over the weekend.
We hope to see you all here again next year at the Stoneleigh Exhibition and Conference Centre on 16th/17th January 2010.
