An awful morning to be on the road at 05:50, heavy frost, -2C and snowfalls en route, made this a journey with a difference.
We arrived at Etonbury Middle School just after 07.30, unloaded and setup just before 9am. An early opportunity to have
a look at the other exhibits and traders plus the CLUB secondhand stall. This exhibition is in two halls and a myriad of
classrooms. Everything nicely packed in with plenty of variety for modellers of all gauges and scales.
We were joined over the weekend by Danny3 (Danny), acorncomputer (Geoff), coolcats1992 (Sean), partyspiritz (John) and Hertsbob (Bob).
There were numerous UKTS members visited the stand over the weekend to chat all things trainsim and railworks plus a large number of the
visiting public dropped in for a chat and some for a brief drive.
The second RailWorks Route Building Challenge is over and the voting is in progress, Geoff had brought along the routes for all to see.
Again the quality of the routes is outstanding. Voting closes on 3rd December 2010 and it will be interesting to see who the top three are.
With the large sprawling space available, the layouts were top notch in most gauges and scales. Plenty of traders selling everything from
tiny LEDs to DVDs, to Gauge O kit locos and almost everything in between. AlbanRail where there as always with there G gauge trade stand
showing some of the American Narrow Gauge locos currently available. Plenty of opportunity here also for those into European modelling
with a number of traders selling European locos and stock and a few European layouts.
Our thanks to David Coates (and Lynda) for the invitation, the refreshments and the location.
Our thanks to all those that gave of their time to help us demonstrating, to those who dropped by for a chat
and to the members of the public who visited the exhibition over the weekend.
A special thank you to those who helped packup and load the car at the end of the show.
