Exhibition Report
Leytonstone
29th May 2004

This was our second visit to Leytonstone, Matt's home territory - he only lives 10 mins walk away, and again a most enjoyable exhibition. A good selection of layouts and stands including the fairly large N gauge American layout from the Colchester MRC. We were joined by Deltic9000 and Lad491 as demonstrators for the day and during the afternoon by MartinH with a sneaky peek at Swanage.

15 minutes before opening time, Lad491 and Deltic9000 warming up their engines. The Mayor and his wife drop by for a chat. The Mayor then sits down and has a drive. Bretons Holt in 7mm.

With the release versions of Cannock 4 and NWE 2 we made good use of these routes and fitted them in with the favourites that the locals like to see, MidEast, Skipton 1920, London Brighton Express, Cambrian and the Delaware and Hudson - Bridge Line. Deltic9000 had his copy of the BATS Electric Heritage Pack and was demonstrating this on the Mersey Rail Version 2.

We were visited again by the young deaf and dumb gentleman whom we met up with last year and again he had a thousand and one questions and between us we got through several sheets of paper.

La Planche-de-Bretagne in 2mm. Elkington on Sea Tramways in 4mm. Elkington on Sea Tramways in 4mm. Bittsund Stuuk HO scale tramway and Faller Roadway.

We were also visited by the local Mayor, who chatted with Neutronic for some time and then took a short drive. Both he and his wife were fascinated by the whole concept of train simulation, evident by the length of time they spent on the stand.

Hills Country - American N Gauge. Hills Country - American N Gauge. South Pimlico in 4mm . Catwater and Southern in G Gauge.

Our thanks as always go to the kind people who come along and help us demonstrate the routes and models and promote UKTrainSim - Deltic9000, Lad491 and MartinH and to those who drop in for a chat and a drive. A special thank you also for helping pack the car at the end of the exhibition.

Thanks also to the Roding Valley MRG for the invitation and refreshments and we hope to see again in 2005. A very special thank you to the proprietor of The Engine Shed, Leytonstone High Road who donated a My First Hornby Trainset for the Newmarket Exhibition Raffle - THANK YOU.
