Matt's local one day exhibition and we were there just on 7.30am as the doors opened. Setup as usual on the stage and we were joined shortly after
arrival by other members to help do the unpacking and final plugging in and testing. Because of the location on the stage it was
not practical to include the DCC Workshop, maybe next year just off stage.
We were joined during the day by LAD491, dkightley, Atomicdanny, samuelbennett and simont assisting with the driving and talking to the visitors.
As ever the deaf and dumb gentleman spent most of the day at the exhibition and a considerable time at our stand communicating with Doug
and Sam using copious amounts of paper.
Some very good layouts as always at this exhibition. London Underground Abbey Road, Batcombe and Haddon Bank in 4mm, Invergeachy in 7mm,
with other layouts in 'N', 'On30' and not forgetting Newton Halt in OO9 (How much can you cram onto a small coffee table?)
Numerous traders and societies also in attendance provided plenty of opportunity for modellers to purchase items needed for the
model railway at home and to get up to date information and details on preservation not just in the UK but in Europe as well.
Our thanks to the Roding Valley Model Railway Group for the invitation, the refreshments and the location.
Our thanks to all those that gave of their time to help us demonstrating, to those who dropped by for a chat
and to the members of the public who visited the exhibition over the weekend.
