Our third visit to the European Railway Societies exhibition in St Felix School, Newmarket. A warm start to the
day that just got warmer and warmer as the day went on. We were in our usual location in the well of the main hall
with layouts and trade stands either side. As always this exhibition is in aid of the Multiple Sclerosis Charity.
We were joined by Lad491 (Laurie), Partyspritz (John) and Doug Kightley for the day. Unfortunately the weather
was extremely warm and by the end of the day Laurie was looking a bit frazzled. A visit to his sisters after
the exhibition and an overnight stop for rest and recuperation saw him fit enough to drive home.
The exhibition managers Phil and Mick do take considerable effort to choose the layouts that make this an
exhibition worth attending. For the European modeller it is a MUST on the exhibition calendar.
Good trade support helped to make it a first class exhibition.
Our thanks to the European Railway Society for the invitation and refreshments. A recent email from Phil and
Mick informed me that the exhibition raised £1640 for the Multiple Sclerosis Charity. Thanks to all.
