A return visit to the Royston and District Model Railway Club Exhibition at Meridian School, Royston.
An early start (6.15am) on Saturday in somewhat damp and blustery conditions, we arrived at the school
just after 7.30am. Set up and running by around 8.30 provided an opportunity to have a look at the
other exhibits. Despite being a medium sized show, the quality of layouts and traders was very good.
We were joined over the weekend by king125, queen125, atomicdanny and DDPOTTER. There were other UKTS members
visited the stand over the weekend to chat all things trainsim, railsim and railworks plus a large number
of the visiting public dropped in for a chat and some for a brief drive. The RailWorks Route Challenge
was in "Tinker Day" today so no showing of the entries.
Despite being spread over 2 halls and numerous classrooms, this exhibition packs as much in as possible to
provide a wide range of gauges and scales to the visiting public as possible and the mix of traders provides
just about anything you could want from a show. I even brokered a couple of deals myself.
If you didn't make it to the show, you missed out on a very good show.
Our thanks to Tony Noad and the Royston and District MRC for the invitation, the refreshments and the location.
Our thanks to all those that gave of their time to help us demonstrating, to those who dropped by for a chat
and to the members of the public who visited the exhibition over the weekend.
